Fawaz Haj, an Assistant Professor in the Department of Nutrition and recipient of a 2007 Center for Health and Nutrition Research Pilot Grant, has been selected to be a 2008-2009 Hellman Fellow and will receive $26,000 in support of his research activities. The Hellman family foundation established the UC Davis Hellman Fellowship program to provide support and encouragement for the research of promising faculty at the Assistant Professor rank who exhibit potential for great distinction in their research. It is a great recognition of Professor Haj´s accomplishments and potential.
